How to learn? From mistakes. Diana Laufenberg on TED.com

Touche!

Listen to this teacher talk about what happens when you trust students, allow them to make mistakes, to rise to challenges, to experience an authentic, meaningful education. How many teachers have – or take – or are allowed to take – the time to process failure to make learning meaningful and productive and build student confidence in themselves? Kudos to her! How do you measure what these kids learned on your typical standardized test?
